Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have the Lords of Waterdeep board game in order to play with the Scoundrels of Skullport expansion?
Yes.
How does the expansion work with the base game?
This expansion contains two new game modules, Undermountain and Skullport, each of which can be added to the base game to expand and alter the experience.
Do I need to play with both expansions included in Scoundrels of Skullport or can I play with just one?
You can play with one or both.
Are any new mechanics introduced?
The Undermountain module focuses on new quests with great demands and greater rewards. The Skullport module focuses on a new resource, Corruption, and the risks associated with being corrupt.
Can both expansions be used in the same game?
Yes.
How much additional time will this add to a game?
While the number of turns in a game does not change, the inclusion of a potential 6th player in your game can increase game time somewhat. Largely this will depend on the group however, and how long it takes for each player to make decisions.
Will the expansion add more possible players?
Yes, you can now play with 6 players.
How will this impact storage of components? (Original LoW has a great insert. What is the new one like?)
The insert for Scoundrels of Skullport is very similar to the one provided in Lords of Waterdeep.
